Old Man Mike is the creative alias of M.A. Biggam, a Manchester, UK-born artist who has called San Juan, Puerto Rico, home for the past decade. Since 2009, he’s been crafting evocative, genre-defying soundscapes that blend lo-fi, ambient, and experimental influences. The name "Old Man Mike" was born from a friend’s playful jab while Biggam was immersed in the brooding melodies of Nick Cave—a nod to his timeless, introspective spirit. In his 20s, while others embraced fleeting prefixes like "lil" or "baby," Biggam leaned into "Old Man," a moniker that’s grown to embody his weathered, soulful approach to music. Having relocated to Puerto Rico around 2015, he infuses his work with the island’s vibrant energy and the stark beauty of the American Southwest, creating tracks that feel like late-night confessions. With over 15 releases, including his latest album Feel No Pain, Old Man Mike’s music is a haunting companion for those navigating life’s quiet complexities.
